    WILLIAM G. BRINK

    William G. Brink of the Friendship Manor Shelter Care Home in Nashville passed away at the Washington County Hospital Saturday, April 20, 1974, at the age of 88 years. He was hospitalized April 15, having suffered a stroke.

    Mr. Brink was born at North Prairie on November 17, 1885, the son of Charles C. and Elizabeth (Krughoff) Brink. He was a retired farmer and a member of Grace United Methodist Church of Nashville.

    Survivors are 13 nieces and nephews and a host of great-nieces and nephews and friends.

    He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and eight sisters.

    Funeral services were held at the Pyatt Funeral Home of Nashville on Tuesday, April 23, at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Richard Scott officiating. Mrs. Wanda Gines, a great-niece of deceased, was organist.

    Roland Jones, Norman Witt, Alwyn Dykstra, Charles Brink, Steve Brink and Howard Brink were pallbearers.

    Interment was in North Prairie Cemetary.


    Along with the 120 acres William owned at his farm, he also owned what was referred to as Stutz Field. It was north past the old Evangelical Cemetery, over the bridge and up the hill. The south line of Stutz field was a clump of trees to the west. The field ran north and west past the trees for 60 acres. Gerlings was back to the left, west across the creek where the old reunions were held. Julius Krughoff bought It from William.

    Nashville, Tuesday, April 23, 1974, at 2:00 P. M.

    Friends may call at the Pyatt Funeral Home after
    6:30 P. M. Monday and until time of service.

    Interment in the North Prairie Cemetery
