  1. 1.  OWENS CALIFORNIA PALESTINE (PAL) was born in Oct 1887 in Baxter, Missouri; died about 1963 in Died a few short months after husband; was buried in Binger Oklahoma.

    Notes:

    Bill and Pal left Missouri in 1908 and moved to El Reno, Oklahoma, to be near her brothers and sister. They moved a few times and are known to have had a cafe in Minco and also Binger.
    They were in Texas harvesting crops when their son Ralph met the girl he was to later marry.
    In 1937 they moved to California where tehy lived at Winters and harvested crops. A few years later they moved to Modesto, California, and lived nearby to Andrew and his family.
    In 1962 tehy made the statement that they were going back to Binger, Oklahoma, to die.

    There is a photograph on p. 563 in Stone county History Book with the following heading:

    CALIFORNIA married CHAPPELL ROBERT WILLIAM "BILL" in Stone County, Missouri. ROBERT (son of CHAPPELL WILLIAM ROBERT "BUD" and STILES ELEANORA) was born in 21 May in Stone County, MissourI; died on 6 Feb 1963 in Anadarko, Oklahoma; was buried in Binger Oklahoma. [Group Sheet]

    Ralph was a construction carpenter. He and his family moved to Banning, California, in 1947 where they lived until his death. He died 2 Jan., 1952, at his home of a massive hemmorrhage due to a self-inflicted gunshot wound to his chest.
