It should also be noted that Nelson has more valuable real estate and personal property even though Elijah was the older brother. Nelson is living with his family in between his father George and his brother Elijah.

    Next door is his daughter Caroline, 17 years old, living with her husband Reuben Sumpter, 21 years old. It should be noted that the value of Nelson's real estate and personal property is significantly less than 10 years earlier, probably a result of the upheaval of the Civil War.
