      !MARRIAGE: Letter from David Trimle to Larry Herrin 17 Sep 1993 states that "A
      daughter of Catherine James Gross - Mary Gross - married Williamson Herrin in
      Owen County." [Indiana].

      !LINEAGE: The entire line of Williamson Herrin and Mary Gross was provided by
      David Trimble in a letter to Larry Herrin dated 9-28-1993. His information is
      from the "James" Book, page 73 and includes his only son, James and his
      children: Walter & Joseph.

      !DEED: Monroe County, Indiana Deed Book L, page 340, dated 17 Jan 1849.
      William Hearn & Elizabeth Hearn, his wife for $1000 to be paid by John
      Starnes and James Starnes, Junior for 160 A in Monroe County, Indiana.
      [This may not be the same William since "Williamson" was living with his
      sister Rachel Stogsdill in the 1850 Census, but he could have been re-
      siding with her after they sold their land].
