They have also wondered if Peyton and William were brothers since their
wives were probably sisters.
They also believe that Shadrack could also be the father of William and
Peyton as he gave consent for the marriage of William and Sally.
Mary Wiles from Evansville, IN listed Peyton Herring on the Mormon IGI.
Robert Herring's elderly aunt recalled that Peyton was a full-blooded
German and left an estate in West Virginia.
Thomas Herrin, son of William Herrin, Sr., was left property in Bourbon Co., Kentucky b y the heirs of Henry Peyton. Perhaps this is the derivation of the name Peyton in the Herri n family.
