  • Notes
    • Hans (or John) Jacob Landis has sometimes been confused with Benjamin Landis who was believed to be one of the three brothers who came to Philadelphia in 1717. Benjamin was actually the son of Jacob Landis. Jacob died at lampeter Township in 1730, he left no will and there is no record of his children. He was taxed at Lancaster County as Jacob Landis or sometimes John Jacob Landis. He warranted land in Lampeter Township in 1718 which was later patented by Benjamin Landis (his son.) Jacob lived near his brother Felix in Lampeter.
