  The 1826 Georgia Land Lottery has John Stapp in Capt. Moor's District, Number 272, District 8, Section 1. -------------------------------------------- FORSYTH COUNTY LAND DEEDS, BOOK D This indenture made and entered into this twenty ninth day of June in the year of [our] Lord Eightenn hundred and thirty six between John Stapp of the County and State aforesaid of the one part and William Martin of the County of Forsyth and state aforesaid of the other part witnesseth that the said John Stapp for and in consideration of the sum of three hundred dollars to him in hand paid by the siad William Martin at and before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath granted, bargained, sold, and conveyed and do by these presents grant bargain and sell and convey unto the said William Martin, his heirs and assigns all that tract or parcel of Land containing forty acres situate lying and being the second district of the first section of Cherokee County now Forsyth County and State aforesaid known by the number Four Hundred and Twenty (420) to have and to hold the said tract or parcel of Land unto him the said William Martin his heirs and assigns tog Hardy Strickland & Samuel Edmondson John Stapp (Seal) State of Georgia, Forsyth County Personally came before me Mr Samuel Edmondson who being duly sworn saith that he saw John Stapp sign the within deed for the purpose therein mentioned and also saw Hardy Strickland subscribe his name as a witness and myself was a witness likewise sworn to and subscribed beofre me this 7th day of January 1837 WW Vaughan, J.P., Samuel Edmondson.
