  The date of Lina's death has been recently found in her pension claim of her husband, Joseph "Joe" Stapp's Indian War service. The document which contains this info is as such: Department of the Interior Bureau of Pensions, Washington D.C., March 30, 1896 Will you kindly inform this bureau whether Mrs. Lina A Stapp, aged about 75 years and the alleged widow of Joseph Stapp still receives her mail at your office or whether she has deceased? If Mrs. Stapp has deceased can you state an approximate date of her death? Please enclose you reply on the reverse side of this letter and return in the enclosed envelope.
