Notes - The first 5 years of their married life were spent in Piedmont, Mo., where Henry worked for Carter & Wayland Lumber Co. They then moved to St. Louis and for 12 years Henry was Bookkeeper and Lumber Buyer for Abels-Taussig Lumber co., E. St. Louis, Illinois. He then went into business for himself. The name of the company which was incorporated in 1920 was Central States Tie & Lumber co. and had offices in the Arcade Building, St. Louis.
