Notes - Henry and Bertha lived in St. Louis for two years after their marriage, 1907-1909. At this time he worked as a street car motorman. His other occupations included farming, milk hauling and trucking for 27 years. He lost his right hand in a feed cutter in 1920. After moving to Nashville, he was street commissioner, auctioneer, Republican committeeman and supervisor of Washington Co. He had been seriously ill with a heart ailment and other complications for several months before he died.
