*This company subsequently became Company I, 33rd Regiment Mississippi Infantry. The 33rd Regiment Mississippi Infantry was known for a short time after being organized as Hurst's Regiment Mississippi Infantry. About April9, 1865, this regiment was consolidated with the 1st and 22nd Regiments and the 1st Battalion Mississippi Infantry, and formed a new regiment which was designated the 22nd Regiment Mississippi Infantry.
