    • Letter sent to Herald M. Gines

      213 W. Elm, Albion, Illiois, May 13, 1957
      Hello Mr. Gines,
I met your son on his tour of singing. When they gave their names and home towns I was surprised when I heard his name since my name is Gines, too. I introduced myself to him and he asked me to write you and see if we're related.
I married Francis O. Gines and his hometown is Browns, Illinois although he
is in Houston, Texas at present. His father is Francis W. Gines and his grandfather was Sam Gines - now deceased.
Hoping to hear from you soon.
      A friend, Wilma Gines

Have been told there is a Gines buried in The Dunkird Church Cemetary south of Olney around east of Parkersburg.
