  The last record of Christhof in Germany lists him as single at 21. No ship records or marriage records for him have been found. In 1746 Christhof is found in the Ephreta Cloister Death Register. His apparent widow in 1751 is listed as having three sons: Wilhelm, John, and Joseph. Gertrude died Feb 3, 1778 and is listed in the Ephreta Death Register.
