Notes - He was a German and a Methodist farmer who lived at North Prairie on the place formerly owned by his grandfather Louis (Ludwig) Friedrich Wilhelm Huck, who came to Illinois in 1849 from Unterlubbe, Westfalen, Kreis Minden, Germany, near Bergkirchen, by Bad Oeynhausen.
