  Edwardsville Intelligencer: 6/14/1895: Mr. and Mrs. William Ramshaw went to Lebanon to visit the parents of the former. Edwardsville Intelligencer: 4/14/1896: Died at her home in Troy, on tuesday, April 14th at 1:30 o'clock a.m., Mary Ramshaw, (nee Smith, of Lebanon,) aged 36 years. The funeral took place on Wednesday, from the residence to the M.E. Church, thence to the Troy cemetery. The pall bearers were Wm. Phillips, Jas. W. Taylor, Theo. Guenueweg, John ruff, John Claytor and Geo. Horsley. Rev. Seed officiated. Deceased was a former resident of Lebanon, and has been living here with her husband for the past 8 years, Mr. Ramshaw having recently taken possession of the Brookside Hotel. Mrs. Ramshaw was a kind and loving wife and mother and a very industrious woman. She took cold and contracted pneumonia. Dr. Brown, the family physician, done all in his power, but of no avail. She leaves to mourn her loss, a husband and three children, the youngest but a few days old, father, six sisters, and four brothers, besides a large number of friends. Our heartfelt sympathy is extended to the bereaved.
