    • Ruth attended Locust Creek Elementary School eight years and four years at Nashville High School. Approximately four and one half years she clerked at "Reuter's Variety Store" (Located on the north side of Main Street, what is now a part of Gutzler's Furniture Store). At the time of her marriage to Marvin she was working in the Office of County Superintendent of Schools for Mr. Kenneth Frieman.
      Besides being homemaker and mother Ruth has served on Wash. Co. Home Bureau board as Vice-Pres. 1955 and Pres. 1956., Health Improvement Association Director of Richview Twp., Homemakers Extension Membership Chairman 1975 and 1976, a member of Wash. Co. Hospital Auxiliary and now does volunteer work at Hospital Gift Shop and has held various offices and duties in United Methodist Women, Church and Sunday School of Bethel Methodist Church, Hoyleton, Illinois.
