BERT GODWIN
Herald Bert Godwin, 77, 1700 Gramd Ave., Washington, died at his home at 9:15 p.m. Sunday.
The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the First Christian Church with Bro. Byron Black officiating. Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call after 4 p.m. Tuesday at the Gill Funeral Home. The Masonic Lodge will accord honors at graveside. The casket will be taken to the church at 9 a.m. Wednesday.
He was born Aug. 24, 1910 in Daviess County to George A. and Etta Mae Purcell Godwin. He married Nelline E. Gines Oct. 22, 1932 and she died May 7, 1973. He was a retired engineer for the Washington Power and Light Plant. He was a 66 year member of the First Christian Church and was a member of Charity Lodge No. 30 F & AM and Scottish Rite.
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Robert (Cheryl Lynn) Osha, Washington, two granadchildren and one brother, Ralph Godwin, Washington. Two sons, Richad and Ronald Godwin, one sister and one brother have died.
