John and Margaret Gilliland were the parents of Samuel Wear's second wife.
(Mary, born ca 1779), hence Elizabeth died before 1779 if the birth record
of Mary is correct.

ELIZABETH married GILLILAND JOHN III about 1773. JOHN (son of GILLEYLAND JOHN II and ROMME HESTER (ROMAR)) was born about 1745 in Pennsylvania; died in 1795 in Jefferson County, Tennessee; was buried in Fort Wear, Jefferson County, Tennessee. [Group Sheet]

1. GILLILAND ROBERT V. was born in in North Carolina; died before 26 Dec 1803 in Pulaski County, Kentucky.
2. GILLILAND JOHN IV was born about 1774.
3. GILLILAND JAMES was born about 1776; died in in Missouri; was buried in Missouri.
4. GILLILAND PRISCILLA was born about 1779.
