NOTES: Per Johnny B. Bullock on 1-26-90, the woods behind his house is called
Newt's Woods after Robert "Newt" Van Hook. There is a spring there called
Newt's Spring. Johnny told me that Van Hook, Kentucky was named after Newt Van
Hook. Larry Herrin 3-8-90. Herb Van Hook told me in 1992 that Van Hook, KY was
named after Samuel Monroe Van Hook.

ROBERT married PING NANCY JANE on 25 Mar 1886 in Rockcastle County, Kentucky. NANCY (daughter of PING JAMES MADISON and BARNES LAURA ELLENDER) was born in 1861 in Pulaski County, Kentucky; died in 1951 in Pulaski County, Kentucky; was buried in 1951 in Grade, Pulaski County, Kentucky.
