Ernest worked for the St. Louis Hannibal and Quincy R.R. in Hannibal for a while; then had a shoe store in St. Louis for a short time and until retirement was with the Gravois Planing Mill of St. Louis as a woodworker.

ERNEST married MEINERT MARTHA LOUSIE on 20 Sep 1903. MARTHA (daughter of MEINERT HENRY and HOFFMAN SOPHIA) was born on 19 Aug 1879; died on 10 Oct 1960; was buried in Bethlehem Cemetery, St. Louis County, Mo.. [Group Sheet]
