    Book R, Page 242. William A. Brooks of the County of Bolivar of the first part and Godfrey & Joseph Frank of the firm of Frank & Co. of the second part. Whereas the said W.A. Brooks is justly indebted to the said Frank & Co to wit: His promissory note dated 17 April 1872 due on eday after date for $100.00 which said Wm A. Brooks is willing to secure and in such further indebtedness as may hereafter arise durin gthe present year for advances and supplies furnished to the said Wm A. Brooks to enable him to carry on and cultivate the farm or piece of land occupied by him in the County of Bolivar. In consideration of five dollars payed to him, W.A. Brooks has granted, bargained, and sold , and by these present do sell and convey unto the said Frank & Co the following described property to wit: one bay horse, one brown mule, about thirty cotton and about 12 acres corn in the Garrison Place. But this conveyance is made upon the following expressed conditions, and for no other purpose whatsoever that is

Whereas the said William Brooks is justly indebted to John P Tobin & Co in the sum of $100 witnessed by the promissory note of the said amount due and payable on or before the 1 November, of which said indebtedness the said Wm brooks is willing to secure and also to the said John P Tobin & CO in such further indebtedness may hereafter arise during the present year for advances and supplies furnished to said Wm Brooks to carry on and cultivate the farm or piece of land occupied by him in the County of Bolivar. In consideration of the prmises and for the sum of two dollars in hand paid by the said John P Tobin & Co to the said WIlliam Brooks has granted, bargained, and sold the following described property to wit: all the crops of cotton and corn planted and to be cultivated & gathered by the said William Brooks and Wife and hands under his control during the year 1873. Brooks is willing to secure the said Clore and Bloar and in such further indebtedness as may hereafter arise for advances and supplies furnished to the said W.A. Brooks not to exceed $170.00 by the said Clore and Blair to enable the said W.A. Brooks to carry on and cultivate the farm or piece of land occupied by him in the County of Bolivar, known as the Darden Plantation.In Consideraation of the premises and for the sum of five dollars in hand paid by the said Clore & Blair, W.A. Brooks has granted bargained and sold unto the said Clore & Blair the following described property to wit: One bay mare 15 hands high, 10 years old, and known by the name Fannie, and also the entire crop of corn and Cotton made and raised by t

    Book X, Page 525. Deed of Trust. W.A. Brooks of the County of Bolivar of the first part and Jas H Clore & D.B. Blair of the second part. Whereas the said W.A. Brooks is indebted to said Clore & Blair in the sum of $328 as evidenced by the books of said Clore and Blair being $158.09 excess over the stipulated sum in a former mortgage to the said Clore and Blair, to enable said W.A. Brooks to carry on and gather the crop on the farm or piece of land occupied by him in said County of Bolivar. Witnesseth that in consideration of five dollars in hand by the said Clore and Blair the said W.A. Brooks has granted bargained and sold unto the said Clore and Blair the following described property to wit: one bay mare, 15 hands high, 10 years old and known by the name of Fannie, one by horse 15 1/2 hands high, 7 years old, known by the name Bill, also 3 head of cattle, and also the entire crop of corn and cotton made and raised by the said W.A.
