Notes:

With their infant daughter, Paulina Anna Carolina (b. 1887) and two sons, George and August, Julia (Klee) Arnsmeyer (b. 1865, d. 1905) and William Arnsmeyer (b. 1852, d. 1919) moved in 1888 to Nashville from St. Louis. Both Julia and William were of Scotch-Irish heritage, having added the "meyer" to William's original family name of "Arns". three more children were born to their union. Ruth Frances in 1893, Luella Mae (known as "Chub") in 1890, and Mayme Adelle in 1897.
George married Violet Green (a Nashville girl) and they had two children, Elvira Louise (now Brown and living in Atlanta) and Mary Elizabeth (now Drane and living in California). August married Sophie Lee (also of Nashville) and they moved to Johnson City. Paulina married Frank Guy Truman Schafer. Frank's father was an English Jewelry salesman and his mother was half Cherokee Indian. Paulina and Frank had five children, Mildred Helen (later Brink) in 1909, Vera Mae (who died in infancy) in 1914, Imogene (later Wallace) in 1915. Homer G. (who died as a young man) in 1922, and Frank Guy in 1924. Ruth married Charles "Chick" Evilsizer and they had two children, Darlith (now Warmack and living in Pennsylvania) and James, living in the metro-east area. Ruth and Chick lived all their married life in Nashville.
Luella Mae married John Engleman and they lived all their married life in Nashville also. Their children were Delene (now Anderson), Ilene (now Pratt), John Jr., Mayme (now Krause), Betty (now Pemberton) and Rank William. Mayme married Walt Reidelberger (also of Nashville). Children born to their union were Audrey (now Gaebe and living in Rhode Island), Walt Robert (now living in the Orient) and Jean (now Farmen-Farmian).



According to death certificate, William was a coal miner.

WILLIAM married KLEE JULIA RUTH on 11 Mar 1882 in St. Louis, Missouri. JULIA (daughter of KLEE AUGUST and UNKNOWN MARY) was born on 18 May 1865 in Of St. Louis, Mo.; died on 21 Oct 1905 in 40 yrs., 5 mos., 3 days; was buried in Evangelical Cemetery, Nashville, Washington County, Illinois. 2. ARNSMEYER GEORGE EDWARD was born on 27 Sep 1883; died on 7 Jan 1956.
3. ARNSMEYER PAULINA ANNA CAROLINA was born on 20 Aug 1887; died on 8 Apr 1967 in Nashville, Washington County, Illinois.
4. ARNSMEYER LUELLA MAE (LOUISE) (CHUB) was born in May 1890; died on 8 Mar 1958.
5. ARNSMEYER RUTH FRANCES was born on 22 Jan 1893 in Nashville, Washington County, Illinois; died on 8 May 1965 in Nashville, Washington County, Illinois; was buried in Masonic Cemetery, Nashville, Washington County, Illinois.
6. ARNSMEYER MAYME ADELE was born in 1897; died on 27 Jun 1986.

WILLIAM married STOKER Minnie. Minnie (daughter of FARMER Nelson and Mary) was born on 25 Mar 1856 in Wayne Co., IL; died on 22 Sep 1941 in Washington Co., IL. [Group Sheet]

1860 Census show a D (Dietrich) H (Henry) Arnsmeyer, age 30, merchant in Nashville, Illinois, from Germany. Wife my be a Suedmeyer, age 29, from Germany. Wiliam A., age 8, born in Missouri, John age 6, born in Illinois, and Amelia, age 3, born 10/8/1857 per New Minden St. John's records, Illinois.

It appears this would be this family, especially since the William in this record was born in 1852.
