He enlisted in Chatham County, North Carolina, December 1, 1782, served three months in Captain William Gholson's Company. He enlisted March 5, 1783, served three months in Captain Jones' Company under Major Crofton.
John married WHITTLE Nancy in 1770. Nancy was born in 1752; died in 1792. [Group Sheet]
Children:- GARNER Mary (Polly) was born on 8 Oct 1774; died on 8 Sep 1846.
