    Somerset District and was 74 years old. His place of birth was listed as North
    Carolina. 1860 Pulaski Co., KY Census Dist. 2 Page 87 House 612, Family 599.
    1870 Pulaski Co., KY Census Shopville P.O. Page 25 House 173 Family 173
    lists Payton Randall as 88 years old and from North Carolina. He is living with
    Bethel (41) and Eliva (40) Randall.

    Peyton Randolph is buried in the Peyton Randall Cemetery dedicated to him
    by his gr-grandsons. A picture of his tombstone is on file and is a replacement
    stone showing 1795-1875, obviously the wrong dates.

    Randolph. Gene Clark's Pedigree sheet shows him b. 17 Jan 1750 in Caswell Co.,
    NC; m. Matilda McNair.

    He is buried in the old Randolph Cemetery on Denton Sear's Farm on
    Bent R. about two miles south of Hwy. 80, on the bend before you arrive at
    Oather Randall Cemetery. Pictures of the cemetery and his resting place is
    on file. The stone is probably buried by the gate, according to Wanda
    Cheatham, Denton Sears' daughter who saw the stone in 1955. His will says
    he desired to be buried by his dec'd wife on the place on which he "now"
    lives.

    !NOTES: Marie Randolph's notes for her forthcoming book on the Randolph family
    shows James Randolph, Jr. of Caswell Co., NC dying in Pulaski Co., Ky. His
    birthdate is unknown, but his next #3 younger brother, Abraham, was born in
    1760. James was married to Matilda or Martha McNear, MacNear or Meakne
