    According to the 1850 Slave and Agricultural Censuses of Cherokee County, Georgia, Nicholas Waddill owned one female slave aged 18 years, 60 acres of improved land, and 60 acres of unimproved land, 2 horses, $650 worth of farming implements and machinery, 4 milk cows, 3 other cattle, 14 swine, 100 bushels of wheat, 500 bushels of Indian corn, 100 bushels of sweet potatoes, and 50 lbs of butter.

    Know all men by these presents that we Nicholas Waddill, John Meser, James Adkins, & Birdwell Hill are held and firmly bound unto the honorable Justices of the Inferior Court setting ass a court of Ordinary and their successor in the Just and full sum of Seven Hundred Dollars for the payment of which sum to the said jusstices of the Inferior setting as a court of Ordinary and their successors in office in bind ourselves and heirs executors and administrators jointly and severely firmly by these presents sealed with our seals and dated this Fifth May 1851.

    The condition of the above obligation is such that whereas the said Nicholas Waddill is this day appointed Guardian over the person and property of maria Flanagan Sumter formerly Mariah Waddill is now of insane mind and memory now if the said Nicholas Waddill do well and truly demean himself as Guardian as aforesaid agreeable to the letter of Guardianship having benn dated herewith and agreeable to law in such case made and provided then the above obligation to be void due to remain in full force and virtue.

    19th January, 1860. John Dial and wife Sarah (Stapp) Dial, sold to Thomas R. Belleu 120 acres of land as follows: SE1/4 of SW1/4 & NE1/4 OF SE1/4 & SE1/4 OF NE1/4 all land lying in Township No. 16, Range 5 East, Section 17. This land was sold for $500.00.

    This indenture made and entered into this twenty ninth day of June in the year of [our] Lord Eightenn hundred and thirty six between John Stapp of the County and State aforesaid of the one part and William Martin of the County of Forsyth and state aforesaid of the other part witnesseth that the said John Stapp for and in consideration of the sum of three hundred dollars to him in hand paid by the siad William Martin at and before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath granted, bargained, sold, and conveyed and do by these presents grant bargain and sell and convey unto the said William Martin, his heirs and assigns all that tract or parcel of Land containing forty acres situate lying and being the second district of the first section of Cherokee County now Forsyth County and State aforesaid known by the number Four Hundred and Twenty (420) to have and to hold the said tract or parcel of Land unto him the said William Martin his heirs and assigns tog
