Letha eloped from High School with Otis.

After death of Leatha, Armeda and Charles Illias, their Aunt and Uncle, raised the children. The children were treated as their own and they all had a high school education.

Since Grandmother Thomason was in such poor health, Armeda practically raised Leatha as her own until Gilmore was born.

LEATHA married TAYLOR OTIS LEO about 1919. OTIS (son of TAYLOR FRANCIS MARION and PHILIBERT DELPHIA JANE (JENNIE)) was born on 4 Dec 1907 in Monett, Missouri; died in 1940 in Monett, MO; Bd. Oddfellows Cem., Monett, Mo.; dod may be 1941. [Group Sheet]

Notes:

In 1869 my Grandmother was three years old and migrated in a covered wagon from around Knoxville, Tenn. with her parents and several brothers and sisters to the country around Sedalia, MO. She was the youngest of severn or nine children, I can't recall for sure. One older brother who was married stayed inTennessee.
