    FRED married UPHOFF LYDIA CAROLINE (CAROLINA LYDIA) on 2 Nov 1904 in Hoyleton, Illinois. LYDIA (daughter of UPHOFF HEINRICH (HENRY) and DUEKER ANNE-MARIE FRIEDERIEKE JUSTINE KAROLINE) was born on 20 Jan 1881 in Hoyleton, Illinois; died on 24 Aug 1973 in Washington County Hospital, Nashville, Illinois; was buried in North Prairie Cemetery, Washington County, Illinois.     MRS. LYDIA C. BRINK
    At the age of 92 years, 7 months and 4 days, Mrs. Lydia C. Brink of Hoyleton passed away at 9:00 a.m. Friday, August 24, in the Washington County Hospital.
    Born in Washington County on January 20, 1881, she was one of eight children born to Henry and Justin (Dueker) Uphoff. Of the eight children, only her sister, Mrs. Anna Brethauer of Nowata, Oklahoma, is living. On November 2, 1904 she married Fred W. Brink in Hoyleton and he preceeded her in death on February 28, 1947.
    She and her husband operated an elevator and general store at Huegely Station for many years. Mrs. Brink was also a charter member of the WSCS of the Bethel United Methodist Church in Hoyleton.
    Survivors include five sons, Howard of Centralia, Irvin of St. Louis, Clarence and Harold of Antiock, California and Wesley of Belleville; a daughter, Mrs. Leo (Vianna) Langley of Williamsburg, Iowa; a sister, Mrs. Anna Brethauer of Nowata, Oklahoma, nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
    Preceding her in death besides her husband, Fred, was a son, Raymond, who passed away during his childhood.
    Funeral services were held Sunday at 2:00 p.m. in the Bethel United Methodist Church in Hoyleton with Rev. Orlando Brakemeyer offiating. Burial was in North Prairie Cemetery.
    The Rixmann-Luer Funeral Home of Hoyleton was in charge of arrangements.

    4. BRINK CLARENCE HENRY was born on 14 Feb 1912 in Ainsworth, Nebraska; died on 10 May 1995 in Martinez, California.
    5. BRINK VIANNA ELIZABETH was born on 3 Aug 1914 in Ainsworth, Brown County, Nebraska; was buried in North Prairie Cemetery, Washington County, Illinois.
