    Description from David Burgett:
In this picture of a store, the lady on the left is Ida and John W. is in the doorway. Again this is ca 1908. .... On the back of the picture in pencil is 'J W Gines Vincennes Indiana lived upstairs' also, 'Aunt Ida', 'Ray Post dark suit', and up toward the top about where the old woman on the balcony is, it says Aunt Susan. I do not know who Aunt Susan is. The woman in the picture is to old to be Susan Burget, Ida's sister.

Note from Ron Gines: If the woman on the Balcony is Susan Jane Burgett and this photo was taken in 1908, then she would be 38 years old in this picture.

The Second picture is your Gines family ca 1908. The three young men in the back are, as I'm sure you probably know, Rolla, Raymond and Oral. Then John Wesley, Isis & Ida. The young lady in the front is Dorothy.

Description from David Burgett: approximately 1908+/-. The woman seated on the porch is Matilda Almeda (Wagner) Burget, Ida's mother. The man seated on the porch is my Great, Great Grandfather, Francis Marion (Frank) Burgett. The rest are his three sons and I am not sure about the lady. Could be his second wife or a sister. At the Berlin/Burget Reunions, we have been told a gentleman of the James gang attended.

The cross to the Uncle Berlin Gaither's Family was that his grandmother married a Berlin. Ida's sister Susan married Jake Berlin.

Wanda L. Gines has in her possession a postcard the front of which says "God is Love" in fancy lettering. The back is addressed to Mrs. Matilda Burget, Sumner, ILL. The message reads: All Well and Happy having the Best time of our lives. Jesus is so good to us. J. W. and Ida Gines. Babys name is Herald. The post mark is not clear, only the word IND. It would have to be in Dec. of 1911 or early 1912 since Herald was born December 10, 1911.
