Tour directions from "Ozark Mountain Visitor" - April 1977 by Marcia Lemons: This tour begins on Hwy 76 which is the road on which most of the major tourist attractions of the area are located. These include Shepherd of the Hills Farm, several music theatres and Silver Dollar City. Interspersed between these are dozens of other attractions, gift shops, amusements, motels, restaurants and shopping areas. On right is paved road "Joe Bald", formerly known as Bald Joe Road; resorts and public campgrounds and access to lake. Named after Joseph Philibert, early settler, Indian trader and guide for explorers. As you pull off hwy 13, directly ahead of you behind the billboard and weeds is the old Philibert Cemetery with graves of some of the earliest settlers. Philibert Cemetery was moved by the Corps of Engineers when the lake came in. The unpainted, wooden markers are unknown graves. Old hand-carved stones are intermixed with newer ones.
